Do Hyatt points expire?
Yes. World of Hyatt points expire after 24 consecutive months of account inactivity. Any earning or redemption activity resets the clock on the whole balance, and holding a Hyatt credit card keeps the account active on its own. There is no fixed expiry date, only the inactivity window.
GuideDo Southwest points expire?
No. Southwest Rapid Rewards points do not expire while your account stays open — Southwest removed points expiration in 2022. The one thing that loses them is closing the account: Southwest's terms say points in a closed account are terminated, so leave it open even if you stop flying.
GuideDo Alaska miles expire?
No. Alaska dropped its 24-month inactivity rule in April 2023, and under the renamed Atmos Rewards program the terms state points have no expiration date and may remain in an account indefinitely. An idle Alaska balance is safe, so the only real risk to it is program devaluation.
GuideDo Amex points expire?
No. American Express states Membership Rewards points have no expiration date, and there is no inactivity rule. They are forfeited in two situations: closing your last Membership Rewards-earning Card loses unredeemed points immediately, and points can also be forfeited for an unpaid billing period.
