Do Hilton points expire?
Yes. Hilton Honors points expire after 24 consecutive months without eligible activity — the rule was 12 months until Hilton doubled the window. Any stay, card spend or points purchase resets the clock on the whole balance. Points never expire on a date; only inactivity loses them.

A Hilton Honors point is typically worth about 0.4 cents after two consecutive devaluations, so 100,000 points come to roughly $400.
