How much is a Hyatt point worth?
A World of Hyatt point is worth about 1.5 cents on a typical award night — the most valuable hotel currency by a distance. So 25,000 points come to $375 (about £276 or €322), and 100,000 points to $1,500 (about £1,110 or €1,290). The published valuations run from 1.4 to 1.8 cents and dipped after Hyatt's 2026 five-tier award chart, so we use a figure inside that spread. Low-category hotels land nearer 1.2 cents; top-category and all-inclusive stays at busy dates reach 2 cents or more.
Where these numbers come from: Frequent Miler 1.5¢ Reasonable Redemption Value, 2.0¢ at the 75th percentile (29 June 2026); The Points Guy 1.65¢ (1 September 2026); NerdWallet 1.8¢ (August 2026); Upgraded Points 1.4¢ (1 September 2026). We publish a figure inside that spread rather than at the friendliest end — a balance that turns out to be worth less than we said is worse than one worth more.
Worth more,
so spend it well.
A Hyatt point is worth more than a cent — two to three times a Marriott or IHG point. The value is in top-category hotels and busy dates; spending points on a cheap room wastes the advantage.

Hyatt points value — common questions
Around $1,500 (about £1,110 or €1,290) at a typical 1.5 cents per point. Low-category hotels bring that nearer $1,200, and top-category or all-inclusive stays at peak dates reach $2,000 or more.
From a Sapphire Reserve, usually: the ratio is 1:1, and a Hyatt point is worth more than most airline miles. From a Sapphire Preferred or Ink Business Preferred the ratio is 4:3, which turns 1.5 cents a Hyatt point into about 1.13 cents per Chase point — a little below United miles or Southwest points, so from those cards Hyatt is no longer the automatic first choice.
Hyatt still prices most awards on a published chart rather than against the cash rate, and its prices are low for the hotels they buy. That is why one Hyatt point is worth roughly two to three Marriott or IHG points.

How to book Hyatt award nights
Hyatt award nights cost 3,000 to 75,000 points on the five-tier chart that started on 20 May 2026: each of eight categories has Lowest, Low, Moderate, Upper and Top prices set by demand. Book the free-night rate on hyatt.com; points stays carry no resort fee, and Chase points top up a balance at 1:1 or 4:3 depending on the card.
How many Avios for a flight?
It depends on distance and cabin, not a fixed price. British Airways Club prices rewards in distance bands, so since the December 2025 repricing a short-haul economy reward starts at 10,000 Avios one-way, and business on the same routes runs roughly 16,500 to 26,750. Cash taxes and carrier charges are always extra.
What are Avios worth?
One Avios is typically worth about 1p, the working figure both the UK and US reference valuations settle near, so 10,000 Avios come to roughly £100. Weak via-hub economy redemptions land nearer 0.9p, while long-haul business can reach about 1.7p. The calculator converts any balance into pounds, dollars and euros.
